This webinar is suitable for nurses, health care assistants, community workers and organisations that have a remit for sexual health.
At the start of 2022 many of us will not have heard of Monkeypox yet. By May 2022 it was clear we were facing an outbreak of another disease that previously was rarely seen in the U.K. & Ireland. This time the outbreak affecting mainly GBMSM. In this discussion we will cover the epidemiology of the outbreak, testing, clinical features, treatment and the isolation requirements.
An overview of vaccine strategies and thinking ahead. We will also discuss how outbreaks that affect certain population groups can lead to significant stigma and how media can affect this in both a positive and negative way.
