  • The National Gambling Helpline Provides free confidential information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling-related harms, either as a result of their gambling or the gambling of someone close to them. Advisers are available 24 hours a day on Freephone 0808 80 20 133, via WhatsApp on 020 3031 8881, or via online chat at gamcare.org.uk.
  • Way Forward  A free online peer support group for all women affected by another person’s gambling.  The group is led by experienced facilitators and provides a safe and supportive space for women to share their experiences, find comfort, and empower one another. Over seven-weekly 2-hour sessions the group explores a number of topics with content shaped by women with lived experience. Sessions are hosted over Zoom and run throughout the year.   • GamCare Online Community Peer support can be accessed via our Forum and Chatrooms. We have a general chatroom as well as dedicated chatrooms for those affected by another person’s gambling, one specifically for women and regular themed chatrooms around early recovery, relationships and finances.  The full schedule can be found on our Chatroom page.
  • EmpowerMe A free self-guided support tool designed to help those affected by gambling harms on their journey to stop or reduce their gambling.
  • Money Guidance Service Factsheets Our Money Guidance Service have created a catalogue of factsheets for those impacted by gambling-related harm. They include tips on how to stop or reduce your gambling, budgeting, how to protect your loved ones and guidance for affected others on how to keep their finances safe.

Self-exclusion tools Practical free tools which can help support people to control their gambling and maintain a successful recovery. GamCare provides free access to Gamban blocking software which can be installed on multiple devices, and a registration link for the free self-exclusion scheme, GAMSTOP.
