Active Travel Workplace Survey
As you may know, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is part of a programme called Leading the Way with Active Travel, which is funded by the PHA and delivered by Sustrans. This programme, now in its seventh year, will form an integral part of the region’s Active Travel Action Plan and encourages staff to travel to and from work by sustainable means: walking, cycling and public transport.
The 2017 to 2019 Leading the Way Belfast Summary Report found that overall, the proportion of respondents who usually drive to work has dropped by an impressive 15.7 percentage points between 2017 and 2019, from 41.8% to 26.1%. Although the proportion of respondents walking has dropped slightly, cycling has increased from 18.2% to 20.4%, and public transport has seen a large increase from 18.2% to 33.4%.
This survey will help us get a better idea of your current travel behaviour and what you think about travelling more sustainably. To thank you for completing the survey we will enter you into a prize draw with a chance to win a range of shopping vouchers totalling £250.
