Here4U is a health and wellbeing initiative for Trust staff designed to help staff feel valued by Belfast Trust, giving everyone the opportunity for exercise, relaxation and enjoyment.  Here4U is part of the Trust’s wider bWell initiative.

                      BOXINGThe HERE4U Boxing is run at St. Agnes Boxing Club on the Andersonstown road. The workout combines a blend of traditional boxing techniques alongside elements of personal fitness training. Everyone is welcome and training can be adjusted to suit all skill levels. Get fitter and release stress.

10 week course.

                  CIRCUITSCircuit training is an effective way to get fitter, lose weight and improve strength and cardio. Circuit training involves rotating through a circuit of different exercises that target different muscle groups and aspects of fitness. HERE4U circuit training takes place at Knockbracken Hall in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, where all levels of fitness can be accommodated.

10 week course.

                     YOGAHERE4U Yoga classes offer several benefits, from improved strength, balance and flexibility to better sleep quality, increased energy and improved mood. Practicing Yoga can also help with back pain relief, better heart health and stress relief. Classes are suitable for all practice levels.

                  PILATESPilates is an exercise technique that focuses on strengthening the muscles while enhancing flexibility, balance, and posture at the same time. Learning Pilates can help prevent injuries and reduce stress. HERE4U offer a variety of classes to suit all levels and abilities, as well as physio-led classes for those experiencing health conditions.

PILATES (8 Week) classes available In-Person & via Zoom.

             BREATHWORK‘Release tension, find inner calm & unlock your potential for inner healing and self-discovery’. HERE4U Somatic Breathwork course is designed to help people harness the power of conscious breathing techniques by incorporating mindful breathing practices, that can reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and boost overall resilience. Classes are delivered on behalf of HERE4U through the Gadd Group Health Centre.

8 week course.

                  UKULELEThe Ukulele is fun, friendly and easy to learn. It can be played by anyone, young or old, musician or non-musician. It is more affordable and easier to learn than other stringed instruments. This fun HERE4U Ukulele course is social and informal. If you know the basics and would like to improve a bit more, then this is the course for you. You will learn the easy parts of lots of new songs and there will be tutor recordings for you to practice along to at home, in between classes.

10 week course.

Please bring along your own instrument.

 

                       ARTIf you lack confidence in your personal skill, would like some ‘time-out’ or just want to try something new, then this interactive course is for you. BHSCT staff can learn a variety of techniques under the step-by-step guidance of an experienced tutor. HERE4U art classes are delivered by artist Beverly Healy, either in Beginners Drawing or Beginners Watercolour.  A basic materials list is provided before the course begins, and practice tutorial videos are sent out after each class.

ART COURSES (10 Weeks) are currently via Zoom.

                    CHOIRThe HERE4U Staff Trust Choir meets Tuesday’s 5.45-7 pm at Musgrave Park Church. Directed by Keith Acheson, the choir normally preform a busy programme of events throughout the year in hospitals and community venues sharing their love of singing far and wide with parents, staff, visitors and the wider community.                FOOTBALL
The HERE4U soccer team plays twice weekly 5-6 pm at the Grosvenor Recreation Centre, alongside team members from across the Trust. “The other players made me feel very welcome, and the banter on and off the pitch is great” (Gary).
          PHOTOGRAPHY
If you would like to gain a better understanding of your camera’s creative features and build confidence in your photography, the HERE4U Beginners/ Intermediate course provides the opportunity for budding photographers to get off “auto” mode. Facilitated by professional freelance photographer, Carrie Davenport, the HERE4U Photography course centres on learning a new skill, developing a creative voice and using photography as a tool for mindfulness and wellness.6 week course.Limited number of cameras available if required.
