Stress Awareness Month

21st March 2024

 Stress Awareness Month

April is Stress Awareness Month and there’s no better time to check out the resources available to help you deal with stress on the B Well website.  The Mind Ur Mind section includes a guided meditation, links to self-care tools and sources of support related to stress.

One of the best ways to manage stress is to move your body.  Any type of physical activity is beneficial to our mental health – gardening, dancing, going to the gym, cycling, running or walking.   The Here4U Programme has a wide range of activities that are free to Trust staff and offer exercise and enjoyment.  Activities commence on Monday 6th May.  Please check the link for more details and how to register.

For information on the wide range of free physical activity opportunities available to Belfast Trust staff watch this video from our Staff Health & Lifestyle facilitator Donna Rooney.

For further information on a range of mental health concerns see the Health Improvement Team’s series of Self-Help guides on common mental health issues and related topics including Stress.  These are available to view and download here.

Left unchecked, chronic stress can lead to mental and physical health problems.  If you are concerned about the impact of stress on your health please speak to your GP or one of the sources of support listed in the Mind Ur Mind Toolkit.

Information Sessions can be delivered to Trust staff on the following areas:

  • Mind Ur Mind Toolkit for Staff

The aim of the session is to enable all staff to promote and protect their emotional wellbeing, to contribute to an understanding and supportive work environment.

  • Mind Ur Mind Toolkit for Managers
