Feeling Anxious Campaign 2026

The five local Health and Social Care Trusts in Northern Ireland alongside the Public Health Agency and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service have worked in partnership to promote a campaign to highlight to the general public the signs of anxiety, things that might help with anxiety, techniques to help with symptoms of anxiety and stress and how to get help if it lasts for a long time or impacts your daily life.

Further information on the campaign and resources to help can be found here.  As part of the campaign, Belfast Trust Health Improvement Team are partnering with Libraries NI to run a series of Calming Skills workshops in the lead-up to World Mental Health Day on 10th October.

Those attending the workshops will have the opportunity to learn calming skills techniques to manage anxiety.  The workshop lasts 1.5 hours and is suitable for all adults.  Those attending the workshops will have the opportunity to learn calming skills techniques to manage anxiety.  The workshop lasts 1.5 hours and is suitable for all adults.  For further details, dates and venues please click here.

Common mental health problems such as anxiety, stress, feeling low and depression can affect anyone. While these feelings can be a natural response to life’s challenges, they can become more serious if we don’t do something to help improve our mental health.  Belfast Trust’s series of Mental Health Self Help Guides can be accessed here.   They cover a range of topics and mental health concerns and are available in a variety of accessible formats including easy read, audio, BSL and language translation functions.
