Belfast Trust’s Catering Team wishes to advise staff of some of some exciting updates and offers available in trust restaurants throughout October.

NEW!! Sandwich range:

Keep an eye out for our new sandwich range which is now available in our trust catering sites! This includes some new and old favourites such as Pork & Apple Sauce, BBQ Chicken & Bacon & Cheese, Turkey Cranberry & Stuffing and many more!

 

SPUD STALLS

We’re continuing with our popular Spud Stalls and following staff feedback, we’re excited to introduce a new one at the Terrace Restaurant, Belfast City Hospital. Current fillings include chicken curry, chilli beef, baked beans, cheese, and coleslaw (subject to availability).

Beginning 6th October. Running each Monday 12pm-2pm.

Offering baked potatoes with a selection of fillings. £5 with complementary bottle of water.

Our popular iced coffees are continuing with a range of flavoured sugar free syrups now available at:

Cloisters Coffee Shop, mater Hospital

Coffee Doc, Royal Victoria Hospital

Arches Health and Wellbeing Centre.

 

Other News: Nutritional Standards

The Nutritional Standards for Health and Social Care catering have recently been reviewed and updated to reflect the latest guidance and best practice. These revised standards continue to make healthier choices easier for staff and visitors.

These include:

  • More fruit and vegetables
  • High-fibre and vegetarian options
  • Reduced processed meats and chips
  • Calorie limits for snacks and drinks
  • Healthier vending options

These changes ensure tasty, healthier options are always available as part of delivering quality care to our staff and visitors. By creating a healthier food environment, we’re investing in our wellbeing for a happier, healthier and longer life.
